What Does It Mean to be a Good Person?
What does being “good” actually mean, and why do so many people have it misconstrued?
If you didn’t take the time to truly get to know and appreciate a good person, you’re going to be stuck trying to learn about them from the outside.
It seems like a lot of people have a skewed sense of what it means to be “good”. In many cases, people only view someone as a good person if they are being benefitted in some way or form. Other times, people do “good deeds” for the sole purpose of expecting praise or some kind of benefit out of it, which is the opposite of good. Many times, a person is often viewed as “good” if they are financially well, which is also wrong.
I’ll share some common misconceptions about what it means to be a good person, as well as some ways that you can improve your own actions and mental being.
